The Head Shaker is one of our many Hi-Hat FX products. It was designed to be played on your hi-hat rod with the included Rebound Clutch as a free-floating, lower-pitched shaker. The combination of these two products will give you the most movement possible so you can achieve the sound you want.
Like all the products in our Hi-Hat FX line, the Head Shaker will give you another layer of sound, but its pitch and tone are like nothing else out on the market today. It’s reminiscent of an idling tractor or a train. By adjusting the space between the springs on the Rebound Clutch and controlling your foot movement, you will be able to achieve triplets, 16th notes and even 32nd notes, giving you more rhythmic opportunities. It may take some practice to get the timing you want, but keep at it, it will be worth the effort!
