Finally! Under jingles that aren’t permanent, and even better, they can be engaged or disengaged!
This dual-purpose jingle is designed to be used under or over your hi-hat cymbals. Easily attach it to either your hi-hat tube or your hi-hat rod. The five sets of jingles on the Under/Over Jingle overlap to give you a full jingle sound.
USE IT UNDER:
- Use the OUTER part of the clamp to attach the Under/Over Jingle to your hi-hat tube.
- You will need at least 4” of space on your hi-hat tube below your cymbal to use the Under/Over Jingle.
- Add a subtle jingle sound to spice up your grooves without taking up playable “real estate”.
- Adjust how much the Under/Over Jingle reacts with the bottom cymbal by pressing the pedal lighter or heavier.
- Have the Under/Over Jingle tight to your bottom hi-hat cymbal to angle your cymbal, changing the feel of the hi-hats. It will give you a “springy” feel.
- Easily loosen and tighten the Under/Over Jingle with one hand.
- Slid the Under/Over Jingle down the tube away from your cymbal to disengage the jingles, allowing you to effectively mute them. (You will need approximately 4.5” of space on your hi-hat tube to fully disengage the Under/Over Jingle.)
- Experiment with placement. Placing the Under/Over Jingle directly under where you are striking the hi-hats vs. placing it on the opposite side away from you, will activate the jingles differently.
USE IT OVER:
- Use the INNER part of the clamp to attach the Under/Over Jingle to your hi-hat rod.
- Rest the Under/Over Jingle on your top hi-hat cymbal to get a louder, more active jingle sound, like a ching-ring.
- The crimping in the flat metal arm allows the arm to flex, giving the jingles more motion when suspended.
- Clamp the Under/Over Jingle on the outer side of your hi-hats to keep them out of the way, giving you plenty of room for sticking.
The Under/Over Jingle is NOT a striking instrument and WILL be damaged if played as such.
-Designed to work with 13” or 14” hi-hat cymbals.
-Universal clamp fits most hi-hat tubes. The opening of the jaw ranges from 1/2” to 2” to fit over your stand tube. The opening of the inner part of the clamp ranges from 1/4” to 3/8” to fit your hi hat rod.
-You will need approximately 4.5” of space on your hi-hat tube to fully disengage the Under/Over Jingle. If you have your hi-hat setup low or have a short hi-hat tube, you will have less room to move the Under/Over Jingle away from your lower cymbal. This may not allow you to fully disengage the jingles.
