GONE TOO SOON ~ NEVER FORGOTTEN
Kevin P Feeney, age 60, of Goffstown, NH passed away peacefully Monday, August 17, 2026, in the comfort of his home with his loving wife by his side. He fought a very difficult and courageous battle with cancer.
He was born July 1, 1966, in Winchester, MA to the late Leo and Gail Feeney of Salem, NH.
Kevin was an incredibly talented musician, inventor and builder. He was surrounded by music for his entire life. He always knew he wanted to follow in his father’s footsteps and become a drummer. He had the honor and good fortune to be the drummer for the band “Mugsy”. He played and toured the northeast with them for over 25 years. While he hated to be in the spotlight, he loved being on stage performing. He had the opportunity to experience the thrill and excitement of opening for several of the “80s and 90s bands” like Godsmack, System of a Down, Firehouse, Quiet Riot, Ratt, Great White, Dokken, Days of the New, Creed, and others. In addition to being a musician, Kevin was a highly skilled carpenter and cabinet maker. His love of building and his desire to “find a better way” led him and his wife Cheri to found Creative Percussion in 2018. This company was his true passion. He was never happier than when he was in the workshop or sharing his inventions with other drummers. Kevin invented and perfected hundreds of unique drum and percussion instruments. He was recognized internationally as “the guy that makes all that crazy cool stuff”.
Kevin loved spending time outdoors, around the firepit, relaxing and planning the future with his wife. They did everything together and were a true team in all aspects of life. They encouraged and supported each other in everything. The bond they had was soul-deep and lasting. Kevin’s playful nature, quick wit, and devilish smile will be sorely missed.
Kevin is survived by his wife, Cheri, stepdaughter Haley Dalphonse of Smyrna, GA, siblings Linda Samperi (Dave) of Salem, NH Karen Brown (Chris Davis) of Salem, NH, Mark Feeney (Terri) of Derry, NH, mother- and brothers-in-law Margaret Battey, Eric Battey (Karyn), Mark Battey (Angie), and Craig Battey all of Goffstown, NH; as well as many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews. Kevin was pre-deceased by his parents Leo and Gail Feeney of Salem, NH and his brother Paul of Lyndonville, VT.
A gathering to celebrate and honor Kevin will be held in the near future. Details will be made available when they are finalized.
